One of the good things left in the world.

Different styles, different artists. However, music is the one thing that helps unite people that little bit closer together. The love for a band or certain type of guitar can give you years of conversation, memories and concerts. Music has the power of making me feel every single emotion out there, but nothing but love and admiration for the artist. Listening to songs I adore fills me with utter joy and happiness. I physically cannot go a day without listening to music. It's my drug.

From The Beatles to Lady Gaga- I honestly cannot pin point a specific genre of music. I have utter admiration for particular artists. Rock will always be in my heart, however. With my Dad being in a few bands in his younger days, I grew up listening to heavy rock bands- with the occasional sing a long to Status Quo. Some people joke and laugh about that, but it doesn't bother me. They'll never feel the emotional connection I feel with every single band or singer I have ever liked. Honestly, I do feel a connection. I get attached and I love. Music is there for me when nobody else is, there for anybody. Whoever first listened with their ears and incorporated it with their hands, voice, and passed their wisdom down- I salute you. Because if it wasn't for people like that, we probably wouldn't have the music that we have today. Even if I don't like an artist, of corse I'll applaud them. They'll be making an impact on somebody's life, it just might not be my cup of tea.

I know this is such an in depth post, but I feel so passionately about music. I wish my Dad had got his shot- his band almost got signed twice, it just wasn't meant to be. When I hear my Dad still singing their songs today, I really listen to the words. And you know what? I bet if they'd have kept at it, they'd have made it and their songs would have gone down in musical history. I'm not saying this because he's my Dad and i'm therefore bias, but the lyrics are genius. They vary from romance to rock, to imperfection. They remind me of The Beatles lyrics- beautifully polished. Down below will be pictures of some of the artists I personally thank for their music. Because if these artists hadn't have followed their dreams, I may have fewer favourite songs and less love.

I thank John Mayer for 'Free Fallin', and for being so damn hot ;)

I thank Status Quo for going through with their concert with the flu!
And for always being there for my Dad :)

I thank AC/DC for being the greatest rock band ever. Rest In Peace Bon Scott.

I thank Nickelback for every single one of their songs. They're lyrical geniuses and
have helped me through some bad times.

I thank the Kaiser Chiefs for being traditional Yorkshire Lads. Their very
first album is wicked and their songs are absolutely brilliant.

I thank Stereophonics for their different sound and incredible lyrics.

I thank Lady Gaga for telling her fans it's good to be different.
I thank her for her lyrics because they're from her heart. I thank her
for putting her everything into her music.

I thank Rihanna for being that little bit different. For her catchy, upbeat songs
and unique lyrics. I thank her for simply being herself.

I thank Chris Brown for not giving up, not even now.
It makes me think giving up isn't the answer. If you want it, you gotta work for it no matter
what anybody else thinks.

Most of all, I thank Busted for being there for me during my childhood, and even now I can't get enough of them. Charlie's voice is absolutely gorgeous and it melts me. Listening back through their old hits, I now can appreciate the music. The lyrics are very clever and I love them so much even if they're no longer together. 'Why' will remain one of my favourite songs forever. 'Well maybe a change would keep me high, stop me thinking and wondering why' are my favourite ever lyrics from a song. They just speak to me like no others.

I can't believe i forgot these!
Daughtry- I thank you for your inspirational songs. You have made a huge impact in my life and you are one of my favourite bands and you will be forever. Chris' powerful, beautiful vocals just leave me in total ore of him. I absolutely love this band with all my heart.

There are so many more artists I could thank, but I'd be here all day and night. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that music is everything to me.

Thank you for reading. Please tell me your musical inspirations x

x

I wanna go back to Holland so much.
I've found out I can't trust anybody.
I feel like I'm growing up, i'm becoming more mature dealing with situations.
I feel like sometimes, people forget i'm there. I have feelings too, I hurt too.

Chris Brown

First off, I apologise to anyone who is still in shock over the whole Chris Brown, Rihanna thing. But I can't help it. I just love Chris Brown too much.

To say I love Rihanna so much, I do still love Chris Brown. He's amazingly talented and I think that's what attracts me to him. He's just got one of those voices that I totally get lost in. His eyes are gorgeous(even though you can't see them in the pic...) and I just enjoy listening to his music.

Cuteeeeeee!

I just can't stop listening to his music. His new album F.A.M.E is off the chain wickedddd! Beautiful People, Paper Scissor Rock, Should've Kissed You and Next To You are my faves.

I don't really care about what people think of him to be honest, because it won't change my opinion of him. Even through everything, I'm still a fan. Love you CB :) x

Life- it's so very different.

This time last year, I liked a guy doing his work experience in my form. Now, it's my turn for work experience. And what all happened, the feelings are so fresh that they feel like it happened yesterday. But it didn't. My week of happiness and many months of heartache are all a thing of the past- I simply have to take it as a learning experience. Learn that, life- it's not easy. But the thing is, learn. Learn from your mistakes and listen to those around you and the advice available. Also, I've learnt that some guys aren't going to treat me right, treat anybody right. It's simply down to personality and upbringing.

It's a sad thought, however. Exactly a year ago on Thursday was one of the happiest days of my life. I felt on top of the world. So much has happened, however in London we didn't exactly have a conversation...but I don't know, it doesn't sound like much. We looked at each other and exchanged words. I think once he got over the fact that his friends were talking to me, that I was actually a pretty down to earth, fun girl. I know he knows he got me wrong, I accept what has happened. What I loved was talking to my once best friend, that fills me with utter joy. I'll remember it forever.

So, what will my life be like in another year then? I've already experienced something like this. I used to like this guy not October 2010, but October 2009. And at my school we do a run every year for charity. In October 2009, I remember seeing the guy running around and me thinking "wow, he's gorgeous!" and "i'll never get to talk to him!" ... fast forward a year, and I had been out and about with him at least 10 times, got his phone number, been to a festival with him, layed on him in a car and had long, heart to heart conversations. October 2010- he told me he liked me. A year ago, my thoughts were totally different- it was just weird and nice to think, wow..this wasn't like this this time last year.

Anyway, this brings me back to my original point. What on earth will my life be like next year? Busy, i'm guessing what with Year 11. But I'm also very optimistic about my future. The world is a big place with many doors just waiting to be opened, and I want to unlock as many as I can.

London 2011.

Two of the best days of my life.

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to go into too much detail, because I have a fear that if I do, things will come crashing down. But lets just say that I am extremely happy and cannot wait to see what the future may bring. Friends are like diamonds, they need to be treasured. And I promise to treasure every single one of my friends and future friends. Some people don't know what they have, or take advantage of it. The truth is, I learnt my lesson a long time ago- and I'm determind never to make the same mistake again. Life comes with it's mistakes for sure, but learning from them is wise and makes us stronger. Life isn't easy. But treasuring your friends and the people around you will make your life closer to a living dream. Dreams can come true, after all.

Now, for a description of the shows. We went to see 'The 39 Steps' and 'Legally Blonde.'
The first show was in a small, compact theatre. There were four actors on stage all multi-roling. It was clever and funny, however it was hard to get your head around- I could have done with someone to explain it after. Also, they had a smoke machine which let loose every five minutes- which wasn't helpful as I was riiiiight at the front! Was annoying as well because I had to look up all the way through because I was so close to the stage. On the plus side, during the break I was really thirsty and tried haggling my friend for one. During this night, I made a new friend. Who know's where it'll go, I'll just go with the flow (:

And as for Legally Blonde? 'OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD YOU GUYS!' it was amaaaaazing! It was girly and basically, like Barbie on stage! It was totally American and just amazing. But I didn't mind that one bit, it was a total change to the seriousness of The 39 Steps. Also, they had two dogs starring in it which were soooo cute! A little chihuahua and a bulldog- adorable! The main character really reminded me of me- everyone misjudged her because she was blonde- they thought she was a bimbo. But she sure proved them wrong and found true love- I teared up a little bit, because she was so obsessed with her ex and so in love with him, that she couldn't see her new friend was in love with her. The song she was singing about love, 'what about love?' what was her reason to stay at law school? Her new friend exclaimed the song 'what about love?' and my heart just ached for him. It was a beautiful, magical story and i'd totally see it again! I wanna be in it!

So anyway, I saw some amazing sites. We went to The Hard Rock Cafe and saw some amazing rock n roll stars' instruments. It was just a truly amazing trip and I would love to re-live it. But I can't, all I have is my memories. My memories of the capital of the country, spending it with people who I admire and people who I love. I believe in true love, you know.
