January.

I have to say, January has been an alright month. It's not been amazing, but it hasn't been horrible either. Kinda in the middle.
It's definitely been difficult. I've had five really important exams(and hopefully i've done well in them, fingers crossed!) and now to round it off, i'm quite poorly :( Some of my friends think i've got swine flu, oh dear!

I think February will be a better month though, certainly March will, i can't wait!!!

I reckon somewhere in the middle of this cute little smiley face. I've had some good times with my friends- Xscape, parties, awesome lunch times. But January is quite a hard month, because on the 7th of January 2 years ago my Grandad died, and it's also my friends' birthday :/ So i have to kind of cover it up and pretend it didn't happen on that day. But hey, January is coming to a close and I have to wait a whole 11 months for it to come back around again. I'm gunna focus on looking forward to the up and coming months. Ciao for now x

Artist of the Week.

Lady Gaga

Incredible, Unique & A Little Bit Crazy.

Lady Gaga is one hell of a fierce woman. To be honest, Artist of the Week isn't really a good title. More like Artist of the Year!

Lady Gaga actually has talent. She has an almighty voice and a wicked sense of humour. And I actually think she is a very pretty woman. She has produced some of the greatest songs of all time.

In each song that I hear from her, I feel her emotion. She is such a hard worker and I would love to see her in concert sometime.

Just Dance, Wish You Were Here, Dance In The Dark, Summerboy, Beautiful Dirty Rich, Telephone, Boys Boys Boys- in fact, every song by Lady Gaga is a favourite of mine. Each one tells a different story, whether it be love or sadness. 

This little blog probably won't do her any justice, but my love for Gaga is now out there. Her music is an inspiration. In fact, so too is Lady Gaga! She's taught me that different is the new same old same old. And hey, it may not always work out( Gaga's famous 'meat dress') but it got everybody talking and it was something that had never been done before.

Apple!

I just felt like blogging about this because I think it's really sweet :P
10 billion downloads on Apple and they send out just as many thank you's. Awwww!

I've always loved Apple and I am so lucky to have a Snow Leopard MacBook.

I'd take a picture to show I'm not lying...but I can't find my phone cable to upload any! :( Sorry guys, but I will at some point put one up of my laptop.

Overall; yes I do miss the old layout of MSN and Microsoft and stuff like that- but these laptops are the new generation and as it happens nobody goes on MSN anymore anyway, so I'm not missing out :) The style is so sleek and modern, I love it!

Artist of the Week.

I've decided I'm gunna try and do a weekly blog about the music artist i'm loving. And what better way to kick things off than with the beauty herself, Rihanna. 

I have always been a massive fan of Rihanna, but more recently i've become an even bigger one haha! She's gotten so much more edgier and her style is amazing. She's got such an amazing voice and she even sings live(which is pretty rare these days haha)

I loveeee this picture. It's so creative!

I love everything about her. Her hair, her style, her voice, everything. She is so unique and everyone is so copycat these days- it's nice to see Rihanna is pulling out all the stops to stay different.

Loud is definitely different. California King Bed, Raining Men, What's My Name, Love The Way You Lie II and Complicated are my favourites- but I do love them all.

I aspire to be different like Rihanna.

One Subject: Leopard Print!

Sexy, Sassy & Sensuous.

Leopard print, to me, is beautiful. It's just such a versatile pattern and comes in many colours. It symbolises the 'wild side' of anybody. 

Even though I like leopard print, I'm not too keen on it on fur jackets and things (unless it's reeeeally nice) I am against real fur too. I just don't like the thought of that poor creature once being alive..and finding it upon somebodies back. That's just my opinion though :)

The Almighty Leopard

Perched upon the tree branch, it's precious patches glisten in the sunshine. The leopard is my favourite of the big cats, because it's just so beautiful and mischievous. The cubs are really cute too!

An overview

Hey guysss, just thought i'd do a little blog before I get down to some hardcore maths revision!(whoever invented maths really needed to have been dealt with there and then..)

I've had a pretty chilled day today. Just kinda sat back and watched the world go by. I haven't really got much to say actually..which is quite rare? So I will leave you with a quotation that gets me through each day and helps me when I feel upset.

I never really had any doubts..

What do you do when your hearts in two places?
Things always seem to run in a repeat pattern in my life. Boys, good luck, bad luck etc. One week, I'll be as happy as anything, but the slightest little thing can knock me back.

Simple example- texting. I've recently gotten close with this person and we've been talking like we've known each other for agessss. And he told me he liked me. Now, i've had mixed feelings about this guy- and just when I was starting to like him BAM he tells me he doesn't want a relationship. Great :')
He said he didn't want us to drift apart- yet we haven't text since yesterday. And i'm sat here just thinking : do i walk around with a sign saying "Hi, I'm Danielle and I think you should be nice to me and then totally rip my heart out :)" - because thats what it feels like.
Nearly everrrry guy I have liked has either not liked me back, been in a relationship or 'gone off me'. I've been played loads of times too. And yes, I know boys aren't everything. But when you've been hurt as many times as me, it just gets a bit dull. I wish my knight in shining armour would hurry up and find me already :/

The Beatles Vs One Direction

The one photo that everybody remembers. The Beatles were the biggest band to come out of Britain- and I believe of all time. The Beatles' music is catchy and different. Everybody wanted to be like them. When they grew their hair long, so did you. When John Lennon was pictured with his glasses, the shops had a sell out. Their music is so powerful, it is instantly recognisable. 

Let It Be, All You Need Is Love, Don't Let Me Down, Yellow Submarine, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, She Loves You, Drive My Car, Get Back, I Am The Walrus and I Wanna Hold Your Hand are my favourite Beatles songs. Each remind me of a different time in my life. I'll carry these songs around with me, forever.

One Direction are set to be big. Everybody's comparing them to The Beatles. I defiantly think they could be as big as them. However, they were in a reality TV competition and nobody is sure if any of these boys have any kind of song writing ability. The Beatles wrote every song. One Direction are vocally very good and I cannot wait to hear more from them.

Torn, You Are So Beautiful, Something About The Way You Look Tonight, Kinds In America, All You Need Is Love and Nobody Knows are my favourite covers of theres. If they won, they were going to release Forever Young by Mr Hudson as their winners single and I think their version of that is brilliant too.

Whatever the outcome, I doubt it'll be the last of One Direction.

The Beatles will of corse never be forgotten. My dad always says 'If an American gets onto you about something, just say "Well, we gave you The Beatles" and they'll shut up.'

He's tried it out and it does work. The Beatles had a huge impact on British Music and still do.

One Direction have already got themselves a huge fanbase. They'll go far- I really believe in them.

Feels Like Tonight.

Tonight, I went to Xscape with some friends and it didn't all go to plan..but overall I had a good time :) there were some reeeeally hot guys out as well ;) Here are a few pics from tonight:

I LITERALLY LOVE THIS!

I get goosebumps and my heart beats really fast and I just...MELT! Oh my god I loveeeee One Direction so so so much. Out of all their performances, this is still my number one. I love the way Liam sings 'You couldn't be that girl I adored.' - it sounds like he really means it. And Harry's voice is just all together lush(yes, he is my favourite ;)) However I do love them all and they seem like great lads. Can't wait to see them on 1st March, woooo!! :D <3

It is one of my friends' birthday parties tonight and we are going to watch a movie :)

I've just started getting ready..

This is me with just mascara on my face. How different do I look!? I have a wonderful MacBook and it does this thing where when you upload a photo, it tags you. However, it did not tag me in this because it did not recognise me! Charming! ;)

I feel like this gorgeous website needs a little publicity- after all, their stuff is beautiful.

Alanya Salter is the wonderful creator.

She creates her own music as well as her insane jewellery. Here are some of my favourite pieces from the Punky Allsorts collection (it'll be hard to chose, there's sooo many!!)

This little bracelet will always be my favourite. It was the very first bracelet I got from here. I think it speaks all things cute and girly- which I love! My face lit up when my mum got this for me. I wear it quite a lot.

This collection is absolutely beautiful. It makes me want to be in love! <3 I adore the little patterns and I think any girl would be lucky to get one of these lovely gifts. Their such a cute little gesture!

No other women apart from Alanya would create jewellery good enough to eat! These pieces are soooo original and vintage. I love the whole 'bite me?' vibe. It's as though the person wearing them is good enough to eat. Donut earrings anyone?

Release your inner child! Lego is back with a bang. Alanya has turned a cold, hard game into fashion must haves! Their retro, indie and just plain cool.

Images that resemble the day I have had..

This picture represents hope, life and happiness. These flowers are beautiful and completely catch my eye. They are like nothing I have seen before- and that's what I love. I adore individual and different takes on life. I love exploring.

This image was taken from my holiday to Tenerife in 2010. I have been thinking about that holiday today and I cannot wait to go back in August. The view is mind-blowing and I can feel that glorious sunshine right here in my living room.

Me and some of my gorgeous friends. I spend every school day with these people and they make my days fun and enjoyable. Break times and lunches really need to be longer!

Rihanna and Nicki Minaj- two of the most powerful women in the music industry. Believe me, I love how I am- but I would killlll to look like Rihanna! In this picture her hair is a beautiful cherry red with deeper shades underneath. These ladies are both inspirations to me. 'Dare to be different' is what I believe they portray. It's ok. It's actually fashionable :)

2010.

Sorrrrry, I know it's late. But i've just thought hey...let's do a 2010 blog :')
Now..I feel like I can put it all behind me.

I'd say, 60% of my time in 2010 was spent on people who couldn't give a damn about me. There had been more tears in 2010 than any other year of mine. From March to 3rd of August- those were the worst months of my life.

I had my heart broken into tiny little pieces by two boys. I caught chicken pox and was very ill for 2 whole weeks. I fell out with somebody more times than I can count on my fingers and toes. I wasted time on her.

Now, I know those things don't seem like much, but they carried on all through those months. I experienced heartbreak by people who I actually cared about.
However, now it's a totally different story.

When I went back to school in September- I decided to go with my heart. My heart had been saying for months "you know who your real friends are, go to them Danielle.' So finally, I plucked up the courage and left my old school life behind. And now, I couldn't be happier with the friends I have. They are all beautiful and interesting people who I can listen to and chat with for hours on end. My stomach hurts every single day from laughing and tears still stream down my eyes. Again- a significant difference,  because this time they are tears of happiness.
As I look back on the life that I had, and the life that I now have- I am so grateful that my friends let me into their crew again. If I had never of gone back, I'd still be sat there bored and being picked on by 'my best friends'.

Also, I hooked up with one of my long time best friends who I hadn't seen in THREE years!
It was so lovely to talk to her again and laugh about old times. That is something I will never forget.

My friends make me who I am. I would not be the chatty, laughable Danielle without them. I now know what it feels like to be happy again. I love all of my friends so so so much and I really don't know what I would do without them. They make my day and entertain my evenings. They are all just all round wonderful people. Roll on 2011 guys. Happy New Year :)

Where do I start with this girl? She is the life and soul of me. She shares my passion for One Direction and she shares my sense of humour. She is the most wonderful person I have ever met and I love her even more when she says she's Rihanna ;) She does a wicked Cher Lloyd impression and a killer peado dance. She needs to be in everybody's life. Seriously. She will complete it just like she has completed mine.
